No Milk Today
It's wet and it's windy, and it's been more than twenty-four hours since I had milk. Actually, the last bit of milk went into the egg for my french toast yesterday morning, so I really haven't drank milk for two days. I'm getting really anxious about my no-milk-in-the-fridge status now. It's hard to manage breakfast/brunch without milk, and impossible to swallow coffee (I like mine white, thanks) and - sometimes - tea without the all-important shot of milk.
I can't make french toast, hot chocolate, and instant pasta and porridge without milk.
I need milk like I need my security blanket and pillow.
...
OMG ... the sky is now blue. Guess that's the silver lining in living in a windy city - the wind can both be your worst enemy and best friend. Today, at this very moment at least, it appears to be halfway friendy.
I'm so gonna run my errands now. There will be milk for tomorrow after all!
Thank Goddess!
