Ad Breaks

I came across a headline in the local (major) newspapers today; the article which follows it is about the recent race riots in Sydney. Seeing that particular headline, the first thing that popped into my head was: man, that would've made the perfect Tui signboard.

I doubt Tui shares my prejudices (oh no, I'm politically incorrect and intolerant!), so no doubt nobody would ever see the signboard I have in mind.

However, technology is a great thing, and the Internet an even greater thing - with the help of both, I made the Tui signboard of my vision.

Purile, unwarranted, discriminatory - whatever: the main thing is that it made me laugh.

Even if I was laughing all by my lonesome, sounding like a deranged hyena, and looking worse.

After all, this is the same girl who'd spent one afternoon downloading Bud Light's Real American Heroes and Real Men of Genius ads, then sequestered herself in her bedroom and played them on loop, all the while guffawing her ass off.

(Great surprise finding over 90 such ads (and a telly one)! I wish I had written 'Mr. Way Too Much Cologne Wearer' ... instead of a silly 'Do Not Stand Downwind of This Man'.)
